Evil Angel has everything it is today to thank John Stagliano for, who you may actually know much better as Buttman – this company’s been his baby since 1989, the place where the founding father of the Gonzo niche developed that style of hardcore. And even today, this is one of the best purveyors of Gonzo around, with well over ten thousand different scenes available, some stretching all the way back to the VHS era – though these are classics, so the resolution’s not so bad in context. On the other side of the coin, they’ve really begun to make great content in 4K as well. The production values are great and the user features are even better – if there’s a major downside here it’s that there’s no advanced search available. On the whole, though Evil Angel is like a fine wine that has matured with age.
